Russ Wilson is an emotional weirdo, bringing him here would be bad for the locker room.   Pickett is not well received by WRs and OL.   Fields, while having turnovers, is fresh air.   Would revitalize the locker room as Rudolph did in December.   I have a feeling Steelers are making the wrong decision with Pickett or Russ.   Is 3rd rd pick still too much for Fields?

Gary lots of holes that need filled. If you would pick one position, which position is most needed?  I'm torn between DT and ILB. Why the heck did the Steelers not go after Roquan Smith when they had the chance?

He was a big ticket and they already had plenty of those on defense. I agree with your positions of need. You can throw in a starting center as well

Lots of fans seem to think that DJ will be traded. I think it’s unlikely since their WR pool is not deep.  We saw the same thing last year.  Do you think it’s more likely he’s kept?

Gerry - I understand how fans clamor for changes quicker than everyone else.  That said, while Coach Tomlin said this year is HUGE for Pickett, I dont get the same sense of urgency from the organization to find the next qb. It’s difficult for me to believe Arthur Smith can fix all of Pickett’s ills.  What am I missing?

Hey Gerry, I keep hearing that we can't spend too much on a FA defensive player like Patrick Queen because of 97, 90 and 39 salaries. But because this is likely 97’s last hurrah, can’t they offer a big signing bonus up front, then pay the bigger bucks on the back end for a proven vet?

They don't want to pay AR $10 million in salary this year, so, yes, both a re-work and being cut are on the table. Peterson's contract is much more cap-friendly.

Hi Gerry, until this past season, I’ve been a DJ fan. He’s practiced hard and managed to be productive in spite of working with 4 different QBs and one of the worst-ever OCs. But after watching him give up on plays, blocks, and TD celebrations last year, do you feel as I that we can find a better fit with the new system?

I'm not going to sit here and tell you he is terrific or not without faults, but he is a solid no. 2 receiver who will likely last one more season with the Steelers. There's a reason the Steelers didn't pay him as no. 1 receiver.

Gerry, as tempting as it is to use a high pick on a stud center, wouldn’t the Steelers be better off drafting a more expensive position like T or CB high and using FA to fill hole at C?

Steelers showed a lot of interest in the LB class at the combine but in the past few days there have been a lot of LBs that became available like Jerome Baker & Eric Kendricks. Do you think they look to FA or the draft to address this problem if not both?

They been using FA for years to find an ILB and it hasn't really worked. That's why they're hoping to unearth one in the draft
