KP8+Jordan Addison at 17.  More like Burrow-Chase or Rudolph-Washington?

Does the moderator only take the same repetitive questions over and over?  Answer:yes
Gerry Dulac
10:24
That's because the same questions are asked over and over, week after week.

Gerry:  I know that many mock drafts are uninformed, but so many of them now seem to have the Steelers using high picks on "accessories" like a 3rd WR, a 3rd Edge rusher or a slot 3rd corner.  Can the Steelers really afford a draft that doesn't at least try to get full time, star potential contributors at key positions like outside CB, DE, or OT?
Gerry Dulac
10:25
Those who think that have no idea what they're taking about. You used the proper word in the opening sentence.

Who do you believe is the Steelers number 1 CB and OT?  In other words, if they did trade up, who would they be targeting?  I'd say Christian Gonzalez and Paris Johnson.
Gerry Dulac
10:25
I'd say that's a good guess!

Jamir Jones has just been released, after surpassing Reed late last season. Is another EDGE incoming? Perhaps.. Bud Dupree?
Gerry Dulac
10:26
Perhaps. But Bud is going to cost a few pennies.

Gerry- Will we ever see RBs valued like they were 20 years ago?
Gerry Dulac
10:27
No, nor should you. Short shelf life. Too many good backs you can find on day 3.
Yates
10:27
Hi Gerry-  Will outcomes with D Watt, Benny Snell, Bud Dupree and Boykin become known after the draft?   Which ones do you see at summer camp if any?
Gerry Dulac
10:28
I think Snell and Boykin are best bets. Boykin might be their best special teams player. There is no need to re-sign D. Watt.

Any through to the rumour the Steelers are looking to trade up to 9? Other than do diligence seems like it would be for a tackle. Seems unlikely?
Gerry Dulac
10:28
It's a rumor. Nothing more.

Any players you have seen the Steelers look at in the draft you have heard they are very interested in or are they open to take best players at either corner, OT, or DL and let it play out with those first three picks?
Gerry Dulac
10:29
I think that is their game plan. They will be ready for any scenario in the event the player or players they have targeted high are gone.

Deonte banks is the pick.  Coach mike has made it himself.  Please confirm

It is no secret that the Steelers have been mostly awful at drafting and developing DBs during the Tomlin era. Why do you think this is? Didn't he come up in the league as a secondary coach?
Gerry Dulac
10:30
Yes they have, and it could be the evaluation process. Whatever it is, their success with drafting CBs has not been very good.

For the first time in several seasons, the wheels didn’t come off of this team during December. Do you think it was the result of a younger roster that didn’t get tired, a weaker schedule down the stretch… or has the coaching and training staff made an adjustment to their approach that kept the team competitive deep into the season?
Gerry Dulac
10:32
You make a good point. I'm not sure what it was, but it was a change from what had been happening late in the season. A weaker schedule had something to do with it. So did the slow development of the offense. But you have to give credit to Mike Tomlin for keeping the players focused.

I really feel DL and corner are top priority followed closely by LT. But are they thinking ILB between 49 and 120. Someone to develop to be a starter in the next year. If so who? Do the like Campbell?
Gerry Dulac
10:33
Agreed. And I think ILB could be in play after 49, but I think they are content to see how Mark Robinson develops in year 2 behind the two guys they brought in.

Gary - what do you notice in terms of off season and between game preparation between Picket and Ben?
Gerry Dulac
10:34
I don't know enough about how each prepares in the offseason, but Kenny Pickett should borrow the line from "When Harry Met Sally" and say -- I'll have what he's having.

What are the chances the first 3 picks are a stud left tackle for the next decade, a shut-down corner for at least 5 years and Cam Hayward's replacement?
Gerry Dulac
10:35
None. You only find a stud LT, a shutdown corner and the next Cam Heyward on the first round, not over three rounds.

Hi Jerry, I think the NFL should reduce the draft to 2 rounds like the NBA, and let the college players sign as free agents.  Most players drafted after the third or fourth round are cut anyway.  It would be such fun seeing who the Steelers would sign, and they might even save some money.  What say you?
Gerry Dulac
10:37
Really? And which study are you citing that says "most" players drafted after the third or fourth round are cut anyway?

10:37
Who are the corners the Steelers like the most and where would they take them? So Porter if he is there at 17, Ringo at 32, or is there a corner later they like for example Brents?
Gerry Dulac
10:37
The one who covers the best and can take away the other team's top receiver.
Jb
10:37
Would they trade up for an OT and if so who?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
No.

Gerry-  if you were GM  of team that has DL, CB, S, and Tackle needs and the full board was available to you, who is your pick?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
Jalen Carter?
