Theses are the stats behind Pickens: Quez Watkins 142 yds, Calvin Austin 180 Yds, Denzel Mims 0yds, Van Jefferson 209 Yds, Friermuth 308 Yds. We need an impact guy there from day 1 or teams will just double Pickens and we will score even less points than last year.

I think they will stay put. I don't think they will trade up, but you never know.

What I've said is I believed the Steelers would want him to re-do his deal and lower his cap hit. Now I don't think they feel that way. I think they just might leave this last year alone.

It's more likely draft because they can control that. They don't have control over a trade if the other team doesn't want to dance.

Hi Gerry - right tackle is easier to fill than C or a true #2 wideout. Are the Steelers at risk of being "too cute" with an OT in Round One and then having to trade up or skill down in the later rounds? They also need two receivers; not one. I'd go C, WR, OT, CB, ILB, DT, S/WR. Thoughts?

That will be the problem if they draft a right tackle in the first round -- it clogs up the process/needs in rounds 2 and 3. But they don't NEED two WRs, just one.

I think the problem with an Aiyuk trade is how much the 49ers would want. They are not shopping him but, like the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase always said (or even as Jon Rahm proved), every man has his price. They want a lot and I agree, a future No. 1 is too much. I'd go for a first-round swap this year and give them one of the third-round pick.

One for darn sure -- center!! Above all else. After that, a No. 2 receiver. And, maybe not from the draft, but during the draft.

Hi Gerry - who says Moore can't play RT? How worse can his rating be there? We did not understand natural positions for other linemen recently, so I don't feel we are asking him to learn molecular biology. Have him battle it out with a capable 3rd player and Spencer Anderson - but get your plug-and-play C and #2 receiver done!!!

It depends who they might be trading for. Actually, depending who they take with the No. 1 pic, I think the best chance is a trade up in the second round. You hace an extra third-round pick to play with

Based on Kenny's improved play before he got hurt, his good record, his history of protecting the ball, his youth, his contract and his potential, why didn't the Steelers just sign Russell Wilson as his backup? Why not tell Kenny he's number one coming into camp? Wouldn't that have been a better given Russell Wilson's last two years were up and down, his age and his contract?
