Hi Gerry - do you agree with any of these views: 1) Ben is the most underrated QB in the modern era, 2) Mason could not have been treated and development any worse, 3) Kenny may have blown himself up - but WTF were they thinking with the Canada extension and all the anxiety they caused.  If you have run out of comments as Tomlin once said they ran out of plays, I understand :)

Ben is underrated the way Troy Aikman is underrated and the way, yes, even Terry Bradshaw is underrated. And nobody was dumped on more times than Mason and he handled himself like a true professional. The same cannot be said for the guy who was traded to Philly. And Canada was never extended, at least not contractually. I'm assuming you mean brought back for a third year

I don't know (says the HOF selector) but he needs to be in there. He can only go in now as a seniors selection.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to see them trade for Aiyuk? The draft capital needed, plus the high priced contract seems better used to trade up for one of the stud WR's if they are bent on going all in on that position, and would be much cheaper all around.

In case you haven't noticed, they are committed to winning now, and a receiver like Aiyuk would further that cause. But not at the expense of giving up too much

I know left tackle is most important but isn’t center 1B in priority?  I always thought so. They anchor the interior, call out formations and let’s face it, let qBs stand inside the pocket to deliver a good ball.  The last 2 years we had terrible center play and pocket collapsed often. Please please please tell me they solidify this position tomorrow night. 🙏

In regards to trading for Aiyuk, don't teams normally do that when they are just one piece away from a Super Bowl?  We are so far away.  Russell Wilson isn't a Super Bowl QB anymore.  Tomlin has gotten stale and won't win another trophy.  We have so many needs.  Wouldn't the future be better served by getting rid of older pieces and loading up on young talent?  Maybe trading players for as many draft picks as possible over the next 2-3 years?  I'm starting to think the organization is completely delusional.

They're not delusional about trying to win a playoff game and trying to become a factor in the postseason again. And, aside from paying Patrick Queen, which really wasn't that much, what has it really cost them? Diontae Johnson? That's about it. The new QB room is as cheap as it comes and the other FA additions were given modest deals.

Hi Gerry, appreciate the chats!  I've read if Brian Thomas Jr. is there at pick 20, the Steelers would draft him.  Have you heard anything?  Or do the Steelers still draft the best remaining OT or Center regardless of who else is available?  Thanks!

What you're reading has nothing to do with reality. I think if Marvin Harrison is there, or Rome Odunze, they would draft them. But that's not happening either.

Is there a chance media and fans are prioritizing the OL and the Steelers are not? i don’t think it’s crazy if WR, DT, CB are higher on their boards then another tackle.
