How much weight does Kevin Colbert's recommendation of Andy Weidl have with Art Rooney in your opinion?  Is he now considered the front-runner for the GM job?
Gerry Dulac
10:37
Probably no more than the other 15 candidates. We'll see if he gets a second interview.

Does Coach Canada utilize a FB more this year?
Gerry Dulac
10:37
Based on what we've seen even before Canada arrived, what do you think??

10:37
Do you think Najee’s backup is on the roster?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
Let's hope not.

Gerry any inside scoop on what happened with B Arians in Tampa?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
No. I just think he had enough. He told me it was the right time and he was very happy.

do you see much difference in Austin compared to D Johnson as a receiver other than Austin is unproven at this level?
Gerry Dulac
10:39
Size is the big issue.

Gerry, I dont hate the Pickett grab (at least not yet), but im with you. Missing the Opportunity for a game changer on the DL is going to be our Achilles heal this year. Just like when they picked Terrell Edmunds to replace Shazier initially.....Head Scratcher.
Gerry Dulac
10:40
They tried to trade up to get Pickett. Really? I would rather have seen them trade up to try and get  Jordan Davis. Now THAT would have made sense.

Gerry, do you think that HCMT might have Minkah play NT the first two downs and then move back to his normal safety position, on 3rd down, since he will be making somewhere in the mid $20 millions area??  Askin' for a friend.
Gerry Dulac

Next....
The Real Mason Rudolph
10:40
Do feel the Steelers will try to sign James Bradberry
Gerry Dulac
10:41
I was told that is not going to happen
Tampa too
10:41
Starting quarterback for week one, starting quarterback for week five, starting quarterback for a week nine,. Your thoughts?
Gerry Dulac
10:41
Too early to tell how it will unfold. But, if I'm betting, I say Trubisky for week 1.

In looking at the Steelers season I can see 6-11 or
Gerry Dulac
10:42
Not sure what "or" was going to be. But I don't see 6-11 at all. Not even close.
10:43
Wait....he just sent in what the "or" was. It was 7-10. I don't see that, either.

How do you think they will utilize Austin to get him on the field?
Gerry Dulac
10:49
They will get him on the field and they will want to get the ball in his hands. But he's a rookie and he will have to adapt to the NFL, especially at his size. They, of course, will have to adapt to his speed

Gerry, Any word on who of the three QBs is best golfer?
Gerry Dulac
10:50
Not sure, but I have been told it's not Rudolph :)

Gerry, to follow up if I can, you'd see a lineup of Johnson &  Claypool on the outside, Austin in the slot and Pat as TE, with no Pickens? Or does Pickens enter that starting lineup and Claypool or Johnson sits?
Gerry Dulac
10:52
There really is no "starting" lineup when it comes to receivers. It all depends on the formations. No question, DJ gets the most snaps, but then it will be how interchangeable Pickens and Claypool are at the X receiver. But rookies will need time to adjust, so it's not automatic they will just be thrown in as regulars. That's what they will find out.

HCMT hasn't won a playoff game in 10 years, or so, and has drafted poorly over the last 10 years......what does a guy have to do to get fired, in Pittsburgh???
Gerry Dulac
10:53
Manage the Pirates??

10:53
Mason Rudolph got 10 starts to show he was (or was not) the future. How long of a leash does Pickett get when he takes over? Has to be at least 30 games, right?
Gerry Dulac
10:53
He is a No. 1 draft choice. He will be given MANY chances.

10:53
Have Colbert or Tomlin mentioned anything regarding Pickens maturity concerns? Seems like they are still trending for an eventual character issue.
Gerry Dulac
10:54
They have not, but I'm sure it has been a topic of discussion.

What's worse, pre-draft repetitive questions or post-draft repetitive questions? Any news on Tuitt? j/k
Gerry Dulac
10:55
Both are the same -- very subjective and without clear-cut answers. Here's the latest news on Tuitt -- there isn't any. Still no sightings on the South Side.

Hi Gerry!  Do you think the Steelers have done enough to improve the O line?  I am a little uneasy.  Ok pick ups in the offseason, but it seems like the Steelers are hoping there is a significant leap in performance from the carry over players from LY!
Gerry Dulac
10:55
We'll see if it's enough, but I commend then on doing what they did. They spent lot of money to address the positions.

10:56
Back to the original question. If you owned the team how many more years are you allowing to not win a single playoff game?
Gerry Dulac
10:57
You mean, if a team allowed an average of 45 points in their past three early playoff exits..??
KJ
10:58
Gerry, do you have any idea whether Kenny Pickett has been given a playbook so that he can thoroughly study it in anticipation of "hitting the ground running" so to speak? I imagine Mitch Trubisky received a playbook the day he signed his contract, right?
