Good morning Gerry. If the season started today, with rosters as they are across the league, how confident would you be in predicting another non-losing season for Coach Tomlin?
Gerry Dulac
10:24
Confident. 9-8

Thoughts on B Jones for next year?  What skillset(s) does he have which makes people think he's better as a LT than a RT?
Gerry Dulac
10:25
That's what we're going to find out

Do you think enough NFL teams 'tank' in order to get a higher draft pick that a draft lottery like the NBA and NHL would be good for the league? I am glad that is not the Steeler's way. That rips off the fans of that team no matter the rationale.
Gerry Dulac

No and no

I am in a Steelers mailaise, Mr. Dulac. The long George Pickens saga came to an inevitable, perhaps overdue conclusion; although the WR situation has a ring of “rinse & repeat to it. The Aaron Rogers mating dance has lingered on long after my ability to remain interested. In short, I’m just drained on the state if the Steelers. Can you suggest anything (other than One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer (which I would Drink Alone, btw)) to pique my interest in them again?

Another early 'bye' week and a brutal December - who did the Steelers tick off among the schedule makers? I know no one will believe a losing season under Tomlin until it happens, but this year it may happen. Is that the way you are leaning?
Gerry Dulac

The league schedules the bye week after an international game. That's the way it goes

Morning! As a person that initially supported the idea of offering Rodgers a job this season and knowing that it wasn’t going to change their roster plans all that much either way, I’m beginning to wonder what in the HE🏒🏒 is going on. Honestly, I never bought into the idea that Mason was treated poorly by being paid a wad to wear an earpiece but I’m literally starting to feel bad for him. Either get AR or let Mason have ONE SHOT at having an offseason with all the snaps and OTA’s and camp as a starter so we can put that to bed either way. I’m a big Tomlin fan but at this point, if I’m Rooney I come out like TODAY and wish AR well and move on. Seriously, if it’s taking him this long, to me, he’s already retired.

First off, love the double hockey sticks. And I have always felt bad for Mason for the way he has been treated for several years. I personally thought they would have wished Aaron Rodgers well long before they got involved with him. But that's all Mike Tomlin.

One of my biggest concerns about signing Rodgers (other than the drama) is that he just wasn't good last year. Rodgers supporters say that's cause the Jets offensive skill players around him were terrible, but I'm not sure that Pittsburgh's skill players potentially around him on offense aren't actually worse than what the Jets had last year. Do you think the situation he would inherit here would be that much better than what the Jets had last year?
Gerry Dulac
10:32
Terrible? His receivers were Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams and Allen Lazzard. Better than the Steelers top 3. And his RB was Breece Hall, whose career rushing average is 4.6 -- better than Najee Harris; 3-9.

Gerry what's your prediction for Pickens in Dallas this yr? Quiet and productive yr looking for a big next contract or the usual BS emerging again? If we even hear much about it if it does or Dallas keeps it in house. And, hate to correct you from last week but we got a 3rd AND a 5th from the Raiders for AB which they used on Diontae and Zach Gentry
Gerry Dulac
10:32
Quiet? Hardly. George Pickens is who he is. That's not going to change

Any word on Broderick Jones development this off season? He seems like a pretty critical piece to the success of the offense regardless of who is behind center.
Gerry Dulac
10:33
No. Let's wait till he gets on a practice field. Better yet, let's wait till he plays a game.

D.K is better than Pickens , but this wide receiver room isn’t good enough to beat the best teams in the league consistently , do you agree ?
Gerry Dulac
10:34
They're not ready to beat the best teams in the league, period, and not just because of their WR room

Morning Gerry! A few months ago, I was nearly 100% on the Rodgers Train because I like winning more than losing. But if we won more than 6 games back in 2003, then we don’t get Big Ben. What we know now is that losing 10 games that year equaled 165 wins and 3 SB appearances the next 18 years. I don’t think any fan now regrets that one painful losing season. Starting Rodgers over Rudolph gets us 2, maybe 3 more wins (?). The plan seems to be a trade up in next year’s draft regardless of what happens this season. But a couple measly extra wins could mean a much steeper price in that draft, and make it riskier landing our next franchise QB. Bottom line IMO, the short-term gain for playing Rodgers is not worth risking the long-term success of the team. I’m surely not suggesting we “tank”, but wouldn’t it be better to ride with Mason and let the chips fall where the may?
Gerry Dulac
10:35
That's a very good, though idealistic, thought process

Has DK been at any of the workout sessions? If not, Any new reports of DK and AR getting together in Calif. for more face time?
Gerry Dulac
10:36
There are no workout session organized at the Steelers facility, if that's what you're asking. They're not allowed. That's why players do it off-site

Are you taking your clubs to Ireland? Port Marnock right there in Dublin and so many with a few hours drive!
Gerry Dulac
10:37
I am well aware where Port Marnock is located!! Don't forget the K Club.

Hi Gerry, do you think there's any chance MT opposed the Pickens trade but was overruled by Rooney/Khan?
Gerry Dulac
10:38
No. He was behind it and all-in on it. He's the coach. He makes the roster decisions. Rooney can intervene if he so chooses, but you got that answer

10:38
Gerry you hit it on the head.  Rodgers had better offensive weapons yet averaged LESS yards and points than the Steelers and his QBR was 25th, worse than Russ/Fields.  So how is this offense even going to be as good as last year?
Gerry Dulac
10:39
It was his lowest QB rating since he's been a starter in the league

There has been a few comments on the effect of leaving late for a game in Ireland. As one who has traveled overseas many times, isn't this a bit overblown?
Gerry Dulac
10:40
Are you going overseas to play an NFL game??
Lupe Sanchez
10:40
More likely that they do or don't sign another vet WR before mini camp?

Likely

If the Steelers are to bring in a WR2, do you believe they won’t do that until after Rodgers signs?
Gerry Dulac
10:41
I don't think that is a driving influence

Arthur Smith's offense as far as scheme goes does not impress me. Is it all about the offensive line to get the running game going to make it to the end zone or is it only about the QB throwing receivers open? I see similar struggles this year whoever the QB will be.
Gerry Dulac
10:41
It's all that
