Did you find any noticeable differences playing for teams with front offices that comprised of more former pro players vs. guys that never played past an amateur level? Is it something that gets talked about in locker room, like this gm has no idea what he’s doing by trading for this guy?
Caleb Joseph
4:03
Yes. Noticeable difference. Forrest Gump had a good quote, "And that's all I have to say about that"

Favorite stadium to sit behind the plate at?

Seattle... what an amazingly beautiful city and ballpark. Team is really looking good too! But something about that background does it for me.

At what point did you realize that you were going to devote your life to baseball?
Caleb Joseph
4:06
I was a sophomore in high school playing basketball and I went in to take a charge and the kid jumped OVER me and knee'd me in the nose. Broke it in in a million pieces. That's when I knew I probably only had a chance at baseball.

Hey Caleb! Used to work for one of your minor league teams, the Baysox, when you played there.  I still remember the bemused look on your face when you broke the franchise record for games played (since broken by Garabez Rosa).  How strange was that celebration moment for you, and how far away did the MLB dream feel at that time?  Still miss you here!
Caleb Joseph

It felt far away, as if that was my Big Leagues. But the people of Bowie were so amazing, the front office to kind and thoughtful to acknowledge my service there. I still have the jersey! It's been a road with all kinds of bumps along the way, and I wouldn't change it for anything.

best part of a career catching? The worst aspect?
Caleb Joseph
4:09
I was behind the plate for Jeters last game at Yankee Stadium. The walkout hit, yea that was me.

How do you and most catchers you talk to feel about robo umps calling balls and strikes?  Would you prefer to be able to frame?  Do you forsee changes to pitch calling like more high curveballs if it happens?
Caleb Joseph
4:09
Please no RoBo Umps. The relationship with the umpires is half of the fun being a catcher. Theres SO MANY great guys back there that really wanna get it right and most of the time do get it right!

For those of us that never made to to the minors or of course the majors, what sort of pitch sequencing do P&C's like to use? For instance, I think most assume they just simply use the 1st, 2nd or last sign, is it much more complex? Is it depending on who the batter or runner is?
Caleb Joseph
4:10
Way more complex. I could spend an hour telling you about sign combinations.

How difficult is it to stay motivated with an off-season workout regimen?

Is there any team u would love to play for
Caleb Joseph

when you're unemployed all of them look nice! I always appreciated the KC Royals. My grandfather was friends with Ewing Kauffman, and I think that GM is a solid guy!

Favorite visiting team's clubhouse?
Caleb Joseph
4:13
Awesome question! Rangers new stadium is unbelievable. I loved the clubhouse staff in Tampa, those guys are awesome! I loved going to CLE, they have cool videogames like GoldenTee and stuff. Lets put it to you this way, when you are coming from the minor leagues, ALL OF THEM are legit!!!

Super Cool. We have the same agent. He's so genuine. As good as they get... but I do think he is afraid of bugs though.

I play in a “old man” wooden bat league. Ended up with one of your old game bats (don’t think you ever used it). That stick has some pop!
Question is: what did you concentrate on in the box in regards to your swing? Your hips? Hands?
Caleb Joseph
4:16
See Ball, Hit Ball. That Simple. But I'm a .220 hitter.... take that into consideration.
