Seton LaSalle vs. Serra next Monday looks like a good non section match to prepare for playoffs.  Any thoughts on this game and how they match up with each other?

The Moon will be shining. Seton doesn't have anyone to match up with Jimmy Moon. That said, it would probably be a close game.

Do you think 4A will be much stronger next year? Uniontown returns 5 starters, highlands 4, knoch 4, new castle is always good

Good question. Should be. Quaker Valley loses top two scorers. Yes, Uniontown everyone back. Highlands top two scorers back. New Castle plays some seniors but also has a promising freshman guard in Michael Walls. Yes, 4A should be better.

Midland missed their Moon shot but their 3 losses were to some of the best teams in the state. Still think they may get payback for Neumann-Goretti. If they can make it out of the west, big if.

Neumann-Goretti doesn't have a Quad Green or Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree. But guess what? They're still good again and ranked No. 1 in state.

A number of them. I love atmosphere at New Castle games when it's a big game. Still like Beaver Falls. Old. Horseshoe. Like a Pitt when you walk in. Washington still has a lot of character. Old. Stadium seating. But there are a lot of newer gyms that are really nice. I'm a big fan of some seating in end zones. Baldwin is a newer gym that has seating in both end zones. Nice.

If USC beats Mt. Lebo to tie for section champ, how do you seed them with Latrobe (With 0 Losses in WPIAL) and Pine (Who lost to Fox and USC?)

Lebo can't tie Mt. Lebanon for section title. Lebo has a two-game lead with one game to go. If USC would win, then I would move Latrobe to No. 2.

Nice win by CV. They are a good team. Not great. I don't think there is a great team in 5A. CV definitely a top 5 team. I'd still put Mars and Moon 1 and 2 for playoffs.

5A could be tough to seed. Plenty of solid teams 1 through 6.

I think Mars is definitely No. 1. Moon or Penn Hills No. 2. Penn Hills can play with anyone. Woodland Hills has stumbled a little lately. I think Char Valley gets No. 4 probably. Moon win might have done it. Unless Woodland beats Penn Hills Friday. Then tough decisions. But it doesn't really matter if you get 4 or 5 seed.

I saw PR and Butler last week. I didn't realize that PR's two junior starters were as strong as they looked in this one.  PR shot the lights out. I think all 5 starters can put it on the floor and shoot the 3, but not much size inside. Will it matter should they play Allerdice?  How would you see that game shaking out?  Petcash or Blaufield, which one is better?

Petcash and Blaufeld are two different type of players. I couldn't pick one over the other. I think both are now serious candidates for Fab 5. Allderdice vs. Pine would be tremendous matchup. I really haven't thought about who I would pick in that one. Pine is looking very good. I know they don't have size. That's what Allderdice does have, some size. That could be the different. I'd have to think about that one more.

I don't see it happening. Kennedy would have to have just a terrible night. But their shooting doesn't matter that much because Oscar can clean everything up.

They're good. Not great. Lost some close games. I don't think they are a championship team but could possibly make some playoff noise. Really wonder what they would be had their best players, Ben Kelley, stayed. At a prep school (Andrews Osbourne) playing for a team called ISA.
