The long wait is finally over!

More pitching is definitely needed, but the Angels also need to address shortstop and probably get one more decent bench or multi-positional bat.  The other issue is that even if the Angels do upgrade, their mountain will be higher since the Mariners and Rangers will be improved, the Astros are still good, and the A's might not go away entirely even if they do sell some pieces.

The Rockies have enough talent on hand that I can kind of get why ownership/the front office think they're not far off from contending.  But still, it seems like the Rockies go into every year with exaggerated and unrealistic expectations of where they actually are as a franchise.

I could see Bradley being dangled as part of a trade for a more established first baseman, but the G's might just keep him in some kind of platoon
It seemed like they were always a little hesitant on Bradley anyway (i.e. giving Bauers every chance in the world over him), so it wouldn't shock me if the Cleveland front office looked to upgrade

Those players are all well-regarded, but the problem is a lack of depth afterwards.  Or, more accurately, the biggest problem is that the Phillies have been unable to develop many of their higher-ranked prospects into consistent, MLB-capable players.

I kind of feel like Boras starts off aiming high with every top-tier client, and a lot of the time, he's able to land a deal in that range.  That said, I have my doubts that Semien gets $200MM given his age and the presence of so many other shortstops on the market.

Depending on how amendable Bogaerts is to changing positions, Baez might end up playing second base, as curious as that would seem for defensive purposes.  Really, signing Baez as a guard against XB opting out next winter is an interesting move from Boston's perspective.
Maybe not unlike the Dodgers getting Trea Turner last summer as a guard for Seager leaving

This might indeed be the perfect time to move Hader, since his price tag is starting to get particularly big and his value is still very high.  A multi-player deal that sees Hader and others leave for a premium bat and others makes a lot of sense from Milwaukee's perspective, and makes their overall team better for 2022

Given how the Reds seem to be wanting to keep Castillo and Mahle, they aren't tearing things down just yet.  So a Winker trade seems more doubtful in that regard.  Working out an extension wouldn't be a bad move if the Reds see Winker as a long-term piece.
