Connor Byrne
6:52
One with a club option seems reasonable to me.
DaBaby
6:53
How fun would a Ravens, Saints superbowl be
Connor Byrne
6:53
I'd rather see a Bills-anyone Super Bowl
Jesse
6:54
Your thoughts on Castellanos at 1B for Rangers and then they trade for Marte in CF???
Connor Byrne
6:55
I'm all for it, but would Casty be willing to play 1B? It's incredibly hard.
JNogle
6:55
What kind of contract is Alex Wood expected to land?
Connor Byrne
6:56
Like Walker, he's a one with an option candidate. I think we had him around 1/10 entering the offseason.
ESTRADA22
6:56
Aj Preller is a Real bad GM . What do you think Connor Byrne?
Connor Byrne
6:56
I'm not enamored of him, and I don't think he'll be GMing the Padres 12 months from now if there's not real progress in the win-loss column next season.

6:57
Is Cincinnati out of Ozuna now?
Connor Byrne
6:58
Don't know if I'd say that (could depend on whether they deal Senzel for someone else). They could still use a proven OFer like Ozuna.
Rock Hahn
6:58
Why did I get Mazara when Dickerson and Calhoon were available?
Connor Byrne
6:59
Upside? Valid question, though. Dickerson and Calhoun didn't cost much in money, nor did they cost trade assets, and should probably be 2-WAR types over the next couple seasons.

7:00
Do you see an OF upgrade for Cleveland anywhere using the rest of the Kluber $$?
Connor Byrne
7:00
Could still seem them adding an OFer, but who's out there after Castellanos and Ozuna (two players who are likely two expensive for CLE?) Puig? I haven't heard/read anything about a potential re-signing there, so pickings are pretty slim.
G ary
7:01
Who by is Phillies cf next season
Connor Byrne
7:01
Unless they trade for Marte, which is an idea I like, could be some mix of Haseley and Kingery
Dave Parker
7:03
Which team is the team of the decade past? Future?
Connor Byrne
7:05
Hmm. Boston? They did win two titles (then against, SF won three), though there were some down years. Going forward, the Yankees or Dodgers.
then again*
Yo
7:05
Cubs cf? Don't say almora... For the live of cybsdom don't say almora.
Connor Byrne
7:06
I thought they'd address this by now, but options are dwindling & they don't seem willing to spend much. So, it could be an in-house guy or guys (Happ, Heyward, Almora...)
Steve
7:07
Does Kenta have any value? Not happy in current role but has stayed healthy and showed he can be a plus starter.
Connor Byrne
7:07
Maeda definitely has trade value, but I don't think the Dodgers are in a hurry to move him
cavebird
7:07
I think Mark was asking for the Braves' options if they didn't sign Donaldson, not Donaldson's other options, they seem well known (then again, so are the Braves' trade targets, i.e. Arenado or Bryant).
Connor Byrne
7:08
Oh, okay. There's Bryant, Arenado and maybe Andujar as potential trade chips, or the Braves could try Riley/Camargo at 3B and spend their $ on a corner OFer (Ozuna, Castellanos)
Brodie
7:09
Does Rosario and Conforto start a conversation for Lindor and Hand?
Connor Byrne
7:09
I doubt it
Maeda
7:10
Based on an earlier question, I think Maeda would be a really good option for the brewers, as he could come out of the bullpen, or start, or whatever they are doing now in Milwaukee.
Connor Byrne
7:10
But that's part of the reason he's a really good option for the Dodgers.
Bard Bedard
7:10
Think the Cubs lose any leverage from the Bryant grievance?
Connor Byrne
7:10
Depends on the ruling. If it goes down to one year, they'll obviously get hurt by that.
7:11
Otherwise, if it stays at two and Donaldson exits the market soon, they'll have the most appealing 3B out there as a trade chip
(not to mention a guy who can also play OF, thus expanding his market)
ok seriously?
7:12
'Think the Cubs lose any leverage from the Bryant grievance?' Don't understand why you waste time answering questions with such obvious answers.
Connor Byrne
7:13
Because I've gotten a lot of similar ones and it's worth explaining to people what the deal is.
Not a horse but neighs
7:13
Please explain why Reds signed Moustakas to play 2B with all the other 2Bs available?
Connor Byrne
7:14
I was fine with signing him, but 4/64 has always seemed excessive to me. That said, he should at least be a 2-3 WAR type for a couple years.
Dudebr9
7:14
Does Arenado get traded?
Connor Byrne
7:14
I'll probably put a poll together tonight or tomorrow asking this very question.
