Phillies have a unique catching situation. Wouldnt it make more sense to trade Cameron Rupp than Carlos Ruiz. Rupp is outperforming anything in his previous career, while Ruiz is in line with how he has performed. Plus, I'd rather have Ruiz mentoring Knapp/Alfaro

Chooch is a FA. And nobody is going to go coughing up a big return for Rupp just based on the hot start. If anyone is going to take a chance on it being legit, it's the Phils. Don't see him being dealt.

Why does Cashner have more trade value than E. Santana? He is a 4 inning starter with injury concerns in my opinion.

Who says he does? Different teams will have different views on that, both b/c of scouting and need. Santana's contract is a bit riskier, just b/c of the extra year and dollars, but he is durable as they come.

Now you're going into the dangerous range of adding players on each side to balance things out. It's an indication that the whole scenario isn't really feasible.

Not trying to be harsh, just giving you my thoughts on it -- Giolito/Turner aren't going anywhere.
