It reflects some recognition of added value when they're used properly. If you assume that most team's fifth and even fourth starters just aren't that great, then the value of really solid relievers goes up quite a bit.

Do you scan all the inqueries yourself or do you have help?
Jeffrey Todd

One-man gang.

Couldn't the Rockies have gotten Ziegler for 1-2 mil per year more than Dunn? Stronger track record + great fit for Coors...
Jeffrey Todd
3:10
Maybe they tried and he just doesn't want to pitch there. Or maybe they really prefer the big heater types.

As rosters currently stand, who is likely to win more games? Astros or Ms?
Jeffrey Todd
3:11
Astros
Todd Frazier
3:11
Where does he land?
Jeffrey Todd
3:12
I feel like they ought to be plenty motivated to deal him, but no real rumblings and Dodgers now have a 3B again. Giants could still make sense, or maybe even the Red Sox if they clear Buchholz salary?

I think Encarnacion is out for the Indians..who do you think they get?
Jeffrey Todd
3:13
Loads of options still. Don't see why they wouldn't wait to see if EE falls to them for whatever they see as palatable, though. He's a huge bat. If not, I mean ... Napoli, Alvarez, Moss, etc, etc.
Indians could still pick up a couple pieces and use the in a variety of ways. Would obviously expect them to hunt for value a bit.

Rumor is that Blackmon is staying put in Colorado - you buying that?
Jeffrey Todd
3:15
Maybe, but I think it's kinda silly to use Desmond at first. I get that it could just be a one-year thing and all, but when you sign free agents, it's mostly for their value up front. And his athleticism and versatility are kind of wasted at first. There are lots of guys who are as good/better hitters (but perhaps not baserunners) still out there for way less money.

Who do you see contending in NLE? I don't think the Mets or Nationals are complete teams.
Jeffrey Todd
3:15
Neither is a super-team, unless a couple things break right, but both have much higher floor/ceilings than the rest of the division in my view.
3:16
I wouldn't be shocked if either of those clubs pushed 100 wins -- you can see how it could happen -- but would be rather stunned if, say, the Marlins got to 97.

Is the Encarnacion signing a 1 year deal with the braves rumor true?
Jeffrey Todd
3:16
Ummmmm
Is he moving back to third? That's a really weird idea.
Cody

Have you heard any thing on Joey bats possibly signing with the braves ? Heard him and freedie friedman are friends and he'd love to play in the NL

Bautista too?!

Is Manfred ever going to punish the Cards?
Jeffrey Todd
3:17
It is kind of weird it has taken this long.
But I have no idea what's going on.

Don't sleep on the plate discipline he added to his game last year. What a Rule 5 pick. Thanks Ruben!

Should I take the bar in VA or MD? Trying to do criminal practice.
Jeffrey Todd
3:21
Well I kinda don't like the VA bar, which is a pain in the butt, though that may also be true of MD. Otherwise, I have no real idea.
DC bar is cool.

Most logical landing spot for Cris Carter?
Jeffrey Todd
3:22
I like the idea of the O's slotting him in at DH. Would be fun to see him hit at Camden.
So right now you all are predicting something in the 40-60 mil range on Odubel. Seems reasonable.
3:23
Yelich got 49.5 ... seems like a reasonable comp. I'll guess the over.

Is there any team this year that when you look at the moves they've made you go " you guys are dumb"
