Seems very likely to somewhere, but it's pretty hard to guess where.

I don’t pretend to understand how WAR is calculated but how can fangraphs have sonny grey at 1.3?
Jeffrey Todd
3:39
Innings. Plus peripherals suggest he has been better than results.

3:39
Soto's really 25 anyway, right?
Jeffrey Todd
3:39
Yeah, him and every freshman/sophomore lineman/linebacker in college football.

Odds Cutch gets traded?

47%

if you could have any two players from Oak for the fiers trade ranked 10-30, who would it be?
Jeffrey Todd
3:42
No idea, but I doubt that represents the slate of options.
Tigers fan X

I am surrounded by Yankee fans all day, it is horrible...JT are any teams fans harder for you to deal with?
Jeffrey Todd
3:42
I won't name names, but yes.
3:43
It's also a cyclical thing ... depends where a team is, what expectations have been set, etc.

Why do today's pitchers suck?
Jeffrey Todd
3:44
I think it's actually that they are too good. With so many worthwhile arms available, teams don't have to just wince while watching marginal starters try to gut out 7 innings.

Do you see Freddie freeman finally winning an mvp award
Jeffrey Todd
3:47
Still a crowded field in the NL. If the Braves win the division and he's near the top of the league in overall productivity, could imagine a lot of writers liking the idea of putting his name down.
Jayson

When will the Rangers get back to contention?
Jeffrey Todd
3:49
Not a straightforward path back at this point. I don't know that you can just look at the roster and system and sort of project a contender in x years. They are probably in good financial shape since they are building that unnecessary and wasteful new ballpark, so that'll help them boost back once they feel they have enough of a core in place.
The park also makes it unlikely they'll tank hard, I'd think.

What would it take to get Byron Buxton from the tigers standpoint?
Jeffrey Todd
3:50
More than you'd want to pay, probably. Have to think young pitching would appeal, though, and that's an asset the Tigers have.

You probably like (or write) poetry with your big lawyer words, don't you?  Girly man.

This is the most internet comment I've ever received. Well done.

What can the Orioles do with Chris Davis? Any options?
Jeffrey Todd
3:52
Nope. Ride it out and hope for something to click.

Can the mets realistically contend with seemingly better versions of the Phils/Braves and then the Nats in '19?
Jeffrey Todd
3:52
Suspect not, unless the purse is opened up, but it also doesn't really help them to say that right now.

Where do you think Moncada is in his development? It’s hard watching him go 0-fer most nights and strike out a ton. Should I be worried or is this normal growing pains?
Jeffrey Todd
3:54
I don't have a scouting opinion here, but I will say that swing and miss was always a concern and he hasn't figured that out yet. But you look at a guy like Javy Baez and can imagine how things can trend up for a talented young hitter who has those kinds of physical skills that still need refinement. It can happen at the MLB level.

Not every prospect maps out, but what do you see the Braves doing with all of their top starting pitching prospects?
Jeffrey Todd
3:56
They've already started paring away the ones that weren't working out and were taking up 40-man space. Not sure they will have to make any other calls this winter, but they could cash in a guy or two. Esp if they really want to put down the gas pedal and maybe trade for an immediate rotation upgrade or outfielder. Also still need to address catcher, fwiw.
3:57
(For 2019 and beyond, in case that wasn't clear.)

I would love to have Billy Hamilton as a 4th outfielder on the north side of Chicago, but that’s not happening, correct?
Jeffrey Todd
3:59
If Castellini loves him, hard to see him shipping him to the Cubs. As I noted on the site today ... it's not that egregious for Cinci to keep Hamilton if they really just love him. So long as they find a platoon partner.
4:00
(Whether or not it's a direct platoon partner ... utilize him as not an everyday part of the OF mix.)

What's more likely to happen: MLB gets rid of shift, or players start hitting ball opposite field?
Jeffrey Todd
4:01
We've seen plenty of guys adjust in relatively short time frames to the launch angle revolution. Someone noticed this, tried it, showed it worked, got paid, and others followed. There are plenty of talented players that could in theory be out there thinking they'll spend the winter working on this to iron out a flaw or give themselves an advantage. Of course, then they won't get shifted as much after a while if it works.
