2020 Season
10:02
World Series predictions and winner?
Mark P
10:02
RIght now I'll say the Yankees over the Dodgers, but there's a lot of offseason remaining

A year ago, Austin Riley was considered the 3B of the future for the Braves. Now, everyone is suggesting that they'll make a trade if Donaldson leaves.  Has his stock fallen that far?
Mark P
10:04
Fans are very quick to give up on prospects unless they're instantly great from day one (and, very few prospects are great from day one).  I'd be surprised if Riley's stock had fallen much with the Braves themselves, and I'd imagine they'd only move him for a real choice offer

10:05
Is there another example of what Antonetti/Chernoff are trying to do where it worked?
Mark P
10:05
The A's and Rays have been trying it for years, without ever going into a full-scale rebuild
Puig
10:06
Where do I sign now that the Marlins inked Dickerson?  Doesn't Miami still have room for me?
Mark P
10:06
Tigers make sense, maybe the Giants
10:07
I was never too keen on the Marlins as a fit for Puig given his past issues with Don Mattingly

Is Cozart supposed to be healthy enough to make a contribution in 2020 for the Giants?
Mark P
10:07
The Cozart trade was 95% about buying that prospect for the Giants, and 5% about getting the utility infielder they wanted anyway, and hoping Cozart is that guy
10:08
Best-case scenario, Cozart is finally healthy and he helps the team wins games.  Worst-case, he's hurt again or isn't any good, the Giants have Solano anyway and still have the prospect

Hi! Will the orioles sign any player for more than 2 million dollars this year? If so who?
Mark P
10:10
I'll say yes just because $2MM is peanuts in baseball terms.  Not sure who, but it'll be a veteran who can offer stability and the potential to be a trade chip at the deadline if all goes well

Do you think padres will have another bad season?
Mark P
10:11
I'm not convinced they've done enough to break .500.  Not in a division where the Dodgers will be running things, and the D'Backs have quietly improved quite a bit
Q
10:12
Any news on Will Harris and teams interested in him?
Mark P
10:12
There has been a surprising lack of Will Harris buzz thus far.  Twins have been the only team linked
E-A-G-L-E-S!!!
10:12
The Eagles won their division with 4th and 5th string players. Jason Garrett firing should be coming in 3, 2, 1.....
Mark P
10:13
Calm down, you won the NFC East.
Bryce
10:13
Opening Day, who is Kris Bryant playing for?
Mark P
10:14
My vote is not-the-Cubs.  My guess (based on nothing but my own hunch) is that he's the one the Cubs are targeting as their best trade chip
Muffin
10:15
If a team were willing to take on about 75% of Wil Myers' contract,  could they get the Padres to include Lucchesi and one of Hedges or Mejia (that is, without also giving up an elite prospect)?
Mark P
10:15
Mejia no, but if Hedges is the guy....I could see that happening.
10:16
If you're the Padres, do you trade Lucchesi and Hedges to get rid of 75% of the Wil Myers contract?

Yes (51.6% | 458 votes)

No (48.4% | 430 votes)

Any news on the Ellsbury grievance? Will his salary count against the tax calculation
Mark P
10:17
No news yet.  If the ruling goes in favour of the Yankees, his salary would indeed come off the payroll and the luxury tax calculcation

Who is your favorite character from "The Office?"
Mark P
10:17
Creed!

10:19
Are the Giants going to sign anyone to shore up outfield? Did not tender Pillar a contract. Ramos still has another year in minors before he is ready.
Mark P
10:19
I wouldn't be shocked if they re-sign Pillar, just at a lower price than his projected arb salary
10:20
Sorry for the delay, sneezing fit!

10:21
How safe is Jeff Bridich's job with how self-inflicted a lot of Colorado's holes are? Tom Murphy and Mike Tauchman are pretty egregious misses considering how little they cost.
Mark P
10:21
Don't forget that the Rockies did make the playoffs in both 2017 and 2018, so I'd imagine Bridich has some leeway.  But there are just so many bad contracts on this team, it's scary.

10:21
What’s your gut say about where Matthew Boyd will end up?
Mark P
10:22
He'll still be with the Tigers on Opening Day, and he'll be a midseason trade candidate
matt
10:22
Baez get moved by Cubs?
Mark P
10:22
If I had to guess, he'd be the last of the big Chicago stars they'd consider moving.
This is based purely on my guesswork, however

Who is your "mystery team" who is in on Lindor but nobody knows about right now?
