Orlando a Choice if have to play Games at netural site
Mark P

Potentially, though I'd guess the league would first look to actual big league cities ---- the teams with domes or roofs over their fields, plus warmer-weather climates

How much of the chat questions are "tell me my team is great"?
Mark P
8:06
Haha, only around 17 or 18 percent

Best Blue Jay of all time?
Mark P
8:06
Based on what they did in a Jays uniform, Halladay.

Based on "best player who was ever once a Blue Jay," it's Rickey Henderson.

Damn I miss baseball
Mark P

I hear that.  It's wild to think that Opening Day was supposed to be this coming Thursday

With the parity between four teams in the NL Central, which one will be hurt the most and which helped the most by the shortened season?
Mark P
8:09
I could see the NLC teams objecting en masse to a "play all your games within the division" plan, just because they'd all have a much tougher path to a postseason than, say, the Dodgers.  Not that LA wasn't already helped by being in a weaker division anyway, but if a 2020 schedule ends up being only division games, it leaves the Cardinals, Reds, Brewers, and Cubs with no margin for error
I guess i should mention the Pirates too, to be fair

You mentioned earlier 54 games being the shortest you can see...if it's only a 54 game season what teams are you predicting to make the playoffs? Division winners and wild cards.
Mark P
8:10
It's impossible to say.  I just left the Pirates out of that NL Central answer, but over a 54-game sample size, Pittsburgh could absolutely play well over the short term.

Is there any workout regime that can keep the big boppers like Stanton on field
Mark P
8:12
In Stanton's case, I think he might be somewhat touch and go for the remainder of his career.  It's a major concern that he seems being hampered by injury after injury, all of them more nagging or chronic-seeming things

Do the White Sox have a chance at the central or are the Twins too strong?
Mark P
8:13
I like the Twins more than most, since I'm probably a bit higher on their pitching.  They don't have a bad rotation at all, it's just lacking that headliner ace everyone expected them to get this offseason.

So Chicago and Cleveland have a chance, but Minnesota is still my big favorite in the division

8:14
Do you believe the Blue Jay's will push for a playoff berth this season?
Mark P
8:16
Under normal circumstances, I would've said they were still a year away.  In a shorter season, they might have more of a shot.....you could argue a younger team with generally fewer injury concerns would be able to adapt quicker to an abbreviated spring training
It'll all depend on their pitching

Having said what you said about the Twins SP's Why do the Angels get so much grief. The Angels lineup is better than the Twins.
Mark P
8:16
yikes, I don't know about that
8:17
Who has the better lineup?

Angels (27.1% | 56 votes)

Twins (72.9% | 151 votes)

If you're asking my permission to watch Die Hard, you never need to ask

Why aren’t we broadcasting KBO games yet?

I would be all in favor of this

Does a shortened season with concerns about pitcher fatigue equal more openers?
Mark P
8:20
I think openers will be the norm for just about every team, for exactly the reason you state
Concerned Fan
8:20
As we push closer the Opening Day and then Memorial Day, is there a growing concern that there may not be any baseball in 2020?
Mark P
8:21
It is absolutely a concern.

Any hope the Rockies can convince Arenado to stick around after 2021?
Mark P
8:22
Assuming we get some semblance of normalcy by 2021, my guess is Arenado opts out barring injury or something unforeseen

Are there gonna be post season games in November?
Mark P
8:23
There would almost have to be, if MLB sticks to any sort of lengthy season

Who will I have more RBI's Trout or I if we actually play this year?
Mark P

My guess is Rendon since he'll be the one hitting behind Trout
