First he was underrated, now he's overrated. Pretty soon, he'll just be rated ... as a solid, non-superstar player.

Why do people think TEX would trade Gallo? Besides being a great prospect, Gallo's going to play 1B next season with Moreland gone as a FA. End of story. Please stop with the idiot trade proposals for him.
Jeffrey Todd
2:56
Well I agree with you that they probably have him penciled in at first. Could still cash him in if they decide there's a more pressing need, but we're talking top controllable starter, not a reliever or something.

Will we see Trea Turner playing for the Nationals before the end of June?
Jeffrey Todd
2:57
So I actually tweeted about this yesterday ... a dozen days ago I commented on the site about how putrid Espi and Drew had been at the plate. And they've hit 7 home runs since!
2:58
No idea, but it doesn't seem the change is coming real soon.

Any comments on the new depth chart company acquisition made by MLBTR?
Jeffrey Todd
2:59
Well, Roster Resource is an excellent resource for rosters -- really lives up to its name, you might say! Ha. Very, very excited actually. There's tons of overlap and linkage to be found, and I think it's a really great combination.

See the Indians making any significant moves ?
Jeffrey Todd
3:00
I hope they do. Think they are in a nice position right now in that division.

I don't understand why Yanks would trade Miller instead of Chapman. Is there a valid reason for that thinking?
Jeffrey Todd
3:02
The idea is that Chapman is hard to get fair value out of in a trade, and/or that NYY will slap a QO on him and then re-sign him next winter. So you trade Miller now, get something nice and shiny out of him, then keep Aroldis as the LHP component of a two-headed monster with Betances.

Should the Phillies sell high on VV?
Jeffrey Todd
3:02
No, and he's on the DL.

Jeffress to Washington? I think it makes sense.
Jeffrey Todd
3:03
Maybe, but I think they can and should aim for a premium K arm. Jeffress is a very good reliever, but more of a groundball guy. Really think the Nats should shoot for the moon on a pen arm.

Sam Dyson was cut by Toronto at age 24 after 2 appearances to give a roster spot to Mark Derosa. Biggest mistake of the last 5 years for a team with an awful bullpen?
Jeffrey Todd
3:04
There have been a lot worse "mistakes" than that. Plus, this kind of thing just happens -- guys don't always put it together right away.

What is the story with the NAtionals Orioles TV thing?
Jeffrey Todd
3:05
Everyone ready to sit back and wait for 4 hours while I respond to this? Ha. Google my posts on it for all the background, but it's still not really in position to be resolved.

Is Rodney the best reliever on the market other than the Yanks' big 3? What kind of prospect can he fetch in return?
Jeffrey Todd
3:06
At least right now, the Yankees' "big 3" aren't on the market in the same sense that Rodney and others are. Anyway, I don't know that he's going to draw any kind of huge return. Teams will be a bit wary. Look at how K-Rod has been treated in trades/signings of late -- gets results, but doesn't quite get the love.

Why you got to hate on Velencia?
Jeffrey Todd
3:07
I see what you're doing.

Should the nats get Jose Reyes
Jeffrey Todd
3:07
No

I think that I should be in Brewtown by the end of the year considering the talent on the MLB roster. Am I being too optimistic ?
Jeffrey Todd
3:08
Yes ... he gave an impressive interview to MLBTR though.
Jeff
3:08
Any thoughts on a teheran-gallo swap
Jeffrey Todd
3:08
Don't see TEX doing that.
Crazier things have happened, though.
Jeff
3:08
Nice name, Jeff. Where do you see Fernando Abad landing? He's having a nice season?
Jeffrey Todd
3:09
Good trade candidate, but a cheap lefty could end up just about anywhere so hard to guess.

If Arizona was to trade Shelby Miller today, what do you think the return would look like?
Jeffrey Todd
3:09
Return?
3:10
Ha. I mean, teams would want to take a chance, but ...
Let's just say it's a scenario that's unrealistic to consider at present, b/c Arizona has no incentive to market him.

Thoughts on the Cardinals drafting Delvin Perez, a PED user?
Jeffrey Todd
3:11
Rules allow it. He's a kid.

Based on your guys' article on finding a trade partner for lucroy, and especially considering how rare it is to trade a number one catcher midseason is it more likely he is dealt in the off season?
