He really doesn’t

But having someone with that title makes it easier to pass blame when your defense gets hammered in the playoffs!

Hi Paul, do the Pirates lose 100+ games this year?
Zeise
12:59
It is gonna be very close. The roster I’m looking at feels like a 95-100 loss team which means 100 is more than possible

Any idea what MT sees in Canada that the sports world is missing? Announcers were ripping Canada's play calling all year.
Zeise

You tell me. I thought his offense stunk and his play calling was worsw

Paul, the old time HOFers chowed down on greenies and reds in the old days. Some more modern players may have had their significant others douse them in the clear and the creme, or give them a loving jab in the buttocks. You making a distinction here?
Zeise

No

Hey Paul.  At the end of the KC-Buffalo game, instead of trying to successfully complete the 2-point conversion, could the Bills have tried to run back towards their own endzone to burn most/all of those 13 seconds?
Zeise
1:02
The 2-point conversion is an untimed down

Who would you take: Mahomes, Allen, or Burrow
Zeise

Mahomes

Though I would tell him to leave his brother and wife at home

Do you think any other NFL team will pick up Antonio Brown for next season?
Zeise
1:04
If there is a team that is really desperate for help at receiver, yes they will pick him up
Bernard
1:04
Better head coach, Arians or Tomlin?
Zeise
1:04
Wow that is a great question. I mean Tomlin probably but Arians is pretty good

Paul, how is our big splash into the international market playing in the frigid northeast? Now that I've diverted those ski lift maintenance funds into the Altoona refreshment stands, I plan on running things from the French Riviera for the most part. But my progeny are primed to take over for the next 50 years, so all can relax. Take care and be safe.

That made me laugh, good one

I saw Aaron Rodgers walking around Beechview the other day.  You think he may be looking for a home here?
Zeise
1:05
Nope

Hi Paul. Who do you like in the championship games this weekend?
Zeise
1:06
I think the two home teams will win

Ben aside, the Steelers cap situation is still a mess.  Watt, Heyward, Tuitt, Fitzpatrick, Shoebert, Banner, Bush take up half of projected cap (plus a small dead cap hit for Ben), and while most of them are very good...none of them play offense. That much money should buy you more than playoff blowouts on defense.  And they only have one offensive player (Juju) making more than their kicker. How do they right this train wreck of a cap situation?
Zeise
1:07
No not really - the cap is going way up and they will make even more room. The cap situation is going to be fine

Paul, with Sean Payton retiring, do you think it's time that the Ravens part ways with Harbaugh, or Seatlle get rid of Pete Carroll?
Zeise
1:09
I would say definitely Carroll needs to get on with his life work. Harbaugh should get a little pass because his team was decimated with injuries but his seat should be as warm as Tomlin’s should be

Paul do you think Amanda enjoys a hit of whiskey on a cold day like today ?

Whiskey or brandy no doubt!

Z - Who will be the starting 5 and coach for Pitt hoops next season?
Zeise
1:10
Capel definitely. But the starting five, well, let’s wait to see who is still here in April!!!
Bernard

If Arians had remained on staff, would the Steelers have enjoyed more success over the last decade?
Zeise
1:11
Ben may have not survived five more seasons getting hit like that. Todd Haley preserved his career

How would you interpret Tuitt selling his Pittsburgh house? To me, Tuitt is either retiring or seeking a different scenery. What is your thought on this report?
Zeise
1:12
Who knows. The Steelers should move on, respectfully, but move on

Love your chats and insight..  Do you think ARII will overule MT on Canada? I get that the line was not great, and the WR's dropped passes... but, it seemed (to me) that the play calling did not put the folks in position to succeed.. Thoughts?
Zeise
1:12
I don’t I think it would have happened by now
Bernard
1:13
Great piece on Pitt-Syracuse the other day.  Would Pitt and/or Syracuse hoops be any more relevant had those schools joined the B10 rather than ACC?  They just seem like poor fits culturally and geographically in ACC.
Zeise
1:14
No I don’t think so. One team has made terrible decisions with respect to coaching and the other has been drifting into mediocrity under a fading legend who has gotten sloppy and maybe even a little lazy in recruiting the last five or six years

There are many NFL HCs calling plays on offense. Why is MT getting criticized for calling plays on defense? If I had a choice, I would want him to hire a DC with more authority. However, I am not going far enough to criticize him for sure.
