It is a great question. I think the key is that everyone sees how well the NFL does an assumes there can’t be too much football. I don’t think that’s true. I think there can be and spring football never seems to work because people aren’t in football mode

After reading the PG story documenting the decline of Pitt basketball I wondered what it would have been like if Jamie Dixon had stayed. Couldn't have been as bad. Maybe they'd be like Syracuse where they aren't what they used to be but still get into the Tournament a fair bit with maybe 8 to 11 seeds?

It wouldn’t have been as bad but it would have become very much a team that dances above mediocrity and slops it’s way into bad seeds in the NCAA Tourney more often than not

St Vincent is a good venue and Latrobe is a nice small town that can host it fine. I think it is great there. Plus the mileage reimbursement for driving out there is tremendous!!
