Pitt wins 8 regular season games losing to Clemson/VT/UNC. Should they keep or get rid of Coach Narduzzi knowing next year(looking at wfh old and personal loses) is likely to be a tough one.
Zeise
12:21
If he goes 8-4 there is no way they would even entertain firing him
TP Hunter
12:21
If the oline doesn't get better I think the Steelers might not win 7 games. I'm worried. Do you agree?
Zeise
12:22
If the O line doesn’t improve they are going to struggle all season. And at that point seven wins is in play

Last week when Crosby hit Ben, I thought, the retirement question after this year is moot, because you cannot retire if your dead.  The dude got whacked! While I've not always agreed with how they built the team to suit Ben, I don't want to see him end his career hurt.  Thoughts?

Do you really think you and Walls can keep getting away with your promotion of drinking during a supposed sports show? Shame! Shame! Shame! Cancel culture should include you!!! Shameful!

I've tweeted you a couple of times and you never reply back. Is there a reason?
Zeise
12:26
I have no idea who you are, what you tweeted, why I didn’t see it, why I didn’t respond. You will have to be more specific

What happened to Alex Highsmith's breakout season Paul? My husband kept telling me the whole offseason he was gonna have a breakout season but it's been 2 games and he hasn't even touched the quarterback. That's not good.
Zeise
12:27
He has been hampered and slowed by injuries so far. He hasn’t been 100 percent healthy

Gerry, this might be a rough year.  You cannot necessarily revamp an offense in one year, and our QB cannot be expected to carry the team anymore.  I just want to see the team play hard and improve.  I feel I'm being optimistically real, others think I'm negative. Don't you agree this team may have some really tough stretches this year but might grow from it?
Zeise
12:28
Of course there is going to be a transition and that’s why nothing that happens should be a surprise. It could be a process that takes a few years

12:28
Why doesn't the media ask Narduzzi some tough questions? I feel like most throw out softballs to him.
Zeise
12:28
Please tell me what you think is a tough question

12:28
If the Steelers finish with a 6-11, 5-12 record will Mike Tomlin at that point be let go?
Zeise
12:28
His first losing season? You have been around long enough to know the answer to that
Larry Legend

What's up with the beef between Dejan K and Mark Madden? MM said he was pushed of the Sunday night sports show because of Dejan and says he is only allowed back when Dejan isn't appearing. Can't these 2 ADULTS work it out? They both are acting ridiculous.
Zeise
12:29
I am friends with both and have no idea because I don’t ask them as it doesn’t have anything to do with me. It did, however, provide some good Twitter entertainment for a few days!

If I finish in the bottom 3rd of the ACC again this season and miss all tournaments, am I on the hot seat? Heather likes me so there's that.
Zeise
12:30
Four years in if you are still playing a Tuesday ACC Tournament game, your seat should start to warm up

If Pitt goes 7-5 it has to replace Narduzzi. "Stability" isn't worth just 7 wins each year. He has shown an inability to adapt and change. Whipple should have been replaced this year even if it meant Pickett jumped to the NFL. The play calling on offense has been perplexing and since he came on board they've not been able to run the ball. The large buyout won't stop Pitt if they want to replace him. Schools always find the money. But there's still a lot of games left, so I'm willing to see how it plays out.
Zeise
12:32
You would hope the buyout wouldn’t be a factor but it will be. And without Whipple there is no return of Pickett. But I think if he goes 7-5 the administration needs to put pressure on him to make some coaching staff changes

Hi Paul, not a fan of Eric Ebron, since Steelers signed him as as a FA.  Offense/Canada, needs a base set of TE's (Friermuth/Gentry/Rader) employed to help jump start the run game.  Muth is the next Heath Miller, Gentry is a "big body" blocker and Rader is the "blue collar" guy who will do anything asked by the coaches including special teams.  What is your take?  Thank you!
Zeise
12:34
I agree 100 percent, I think giving Ebron plays is a waste. He is not very good or reliable and he is a one-trick pony

I did some research and I couldn't find in the past 25 years an AD that gave a current football coach an extension with a losing record. Pat Narduzzi was extended after a 5-7 season. I hated it then and I really hate it now. What do you think? Rule #1, you don't extend coaches coming off losing records correct?
Zeise
12:36
Well they gave Dave Wanny an extension coming off 5-7 season in 2007 and he had three non-winning seasons in a row - he was 16-19 at the time. You give a guy an extension if you believe he is building a program that will win

Do you ever play cash games or poker tournaments at Rivers and would you ever travel to play a tournament in a different state?
Zeise
12:43
I play cash games at Rivers from time to time but I’ve played less recently recently because I hate these 7-handed games. These casinos have gotten greedy and that’s why they won’t go back to 9-handed games. They rake more because there are more hands in 7-handed games and they have to keep more tables open. But they suck - guys get up and walk around and you are playing 5 or 6-handed. They act like they aren’t going to 9-handed because of spacing and COVID crap but like most other things through this pandemic it is about money. And because they have rules about when you can move tables if you get stuck at a table that is short a guy and has a few guys who are walking around you just have to sit there in a bad game. It is BS. I go from time to time but it isn’t nearly as enjoyable and I know a lot of guys who go to home games instead for this reason. I don’t do tournaments and I love going to other casinos out of state

Paul, if you were head coach, what's one thing would you do to improve the offense's production this week?  Thanks!
Zeise
12:44
Run the ball and commit to running the ball more

Hi Paul, Pitt always seems to have a lot of good defensive lineman and not enough good offensive lineman. Should Narduzzi up his game on the OL? Assuming he is still around after the stinker last Saturday.
Zeise
12:45
Yes and maybe he should look into the Wanny method of finding offensive linemen - get really athletic defensive linemen like Jason Pinkston and make them offensive linemen
Dan
12:45
Raiders always beat the Steelers.  Why do we all continue to pick the Steelers when they play?
Zeise
12:45
I have no idea at all other than it seems like the Steelers are better than the Raiders
Yankton Ern
12:45
Paul, What makes the fans believe that Roethlisberger will buy into Matt Canada’s offense?  History shows that Roethlisberger loves to have submissive OC’s even though his best years were under his arch nemesis, Coach Todd.  Can Canada run the offense the way he wants with Bullheaded Ben on the field?
Zeise
12:46
I really agree with this and have said it on my show often - Matt Canada was a terrible choice for offensive coordinator for an offense led by Roethlisberger

Is Minkah Fitzpatrick overrated?
Zeise
12:47
Why is this a thing now? I think he makes a lot of plays. He does a lot of things well

What is up with Pitt hoops? When does Capel  no longer get a pass from some people because he's 'new"?
