This might be a dumb question. Why does it seem the majority of people are right handed and then in hockey right handed defensemen are harder to find. What am I missing?
Gavin Lee
7:22
Being right handed doesn't necessarily mean you shoot right, in fact lots of people will shoot left in that scenario
7:23
There are lots of theories about different coaching styles around the world making different choices when kids are young as well, but honestly it's probably just a weird quirk.

Is Vesey to Buffalo still a possibility? I think Edmo was would make sense got him also.
Gavin Lee
7:23
Edmonton has checked in on pretty much every winger that you can think of.
7:24
Buffalo obviously likes Vesey, and he's a real trade target. But if you're rushing out to get him right now before the dust settles on a lot of other things, you're setting yourself up to miss out on other opportunities.

What would a Zucker trade to the Bruins cost Boston?
Gavin Lee
7:25
DeBrusk is the answer that pops into my head immediately, but he's left handed and that's not what Minnesota is after.
I don't think they're trading Zucker for just prospects/picks, so I'm not sure what the fit would be.

A Canadian once told me you hold the stick with the opposite hand. If you’re right handed, think of how you would hold a pool stick or aim a riffle.
Gavin Lee
7:27
This, for a lot of people at least. Your top hand is the one that does most of the work with your stick, so it should be the dominant one. But, then there are tons of people who do it the other way so..*shrug*

What type of deal would it take for Pat Maroon to stay in St.Louis?
Gavin Lee
7:27
This is a weird one for me because it feels like if they offered him anywhere near market value he'd sign in an instant
But then you hear a bunch of other teams are reaching out.
7:28
I'm not sure what is going on there.
Maybe Maroon is still partying too hard to make a decision.

Is Timo Meier more of a priority than Pavelski at this point?
Gavin Lee
7:28
Yes.
JD
7:28
Where do you see Pavelski landing? Dallas makes sense, Tampa Bay doesn’t to me, thoughts?
Jeff
7:28
Does Pavelski end up in Tampa?
Gavin Lee
7:29
Even though Pavelski only met with Dallas and Tampa so far, they are far from the only two teams who have expressed interest.
Everyone wants a piece of him, and why not?
Brian
7:29
Gavin, James neal starts the season where?
Gavin Lee
7:29
Calgary, I think.
Not sure they'll get out of that just yet.

Morrissey-Byfuglien
Kulikov-Pionk
Chiarot-Niku
Poolman
7:31
Seem good enough? No? Their will probably be an addition
Lots to work out in Winnipeg though
EJ
7:31
Justin Faulk to Winnipeg for Patrick Laine - make sense for both sides?
Gavin Lee
7:31
It sure doesn't.
Laine is still an elite goal scoring talent, let's remember that.
Eric
7:32
Is there any chance the blues are going to able to trade jake Allen or they gonna have to attach a prospect and pick to make that happen
Gavin Lee
7:32
Doesn't sound like they even want to.
Brian
7:32
Hi Gavin, Thoughts on the Soderberg trade? What are the avs going to do with this cap space?
Gavin Lee
7:32
I think it's actually pretty great for the Avalanche, selling out of a contract that looked unmovable not too long ago.
They said they're going to be aggressive. We know they have interest in Panarin.
Colorado is going to be involved on July 1 one way or another.
Durych
7:33
Thoughts on the Soderberg acquisition by the Coyotes? Where else do they look to find more scoring?
Gavin Lee
7:33
For the Coyotes it's not bad either, but I'm not really sure that's the guy you should have been after to fill a center spot.
