Gavin Lee
6:32
There are some teams out there that could take him, but you'd have to pay a price like Toronto did.
Isles fan
6:33
What are we doing? Why didn't we just resign Lehner?
Gavin Lee
6:33
No idea what happened there.
Communication broke down somewhere.
Lehner talked about it on his conference call, how they had already found another goalie when he went back to talk to them
I don't understand it at all.
Nicky
6:34
Who steps up for the Sharks to replace Pavelski and Donskoi?
Gavin Lee
6:34
No one can replace Pavelski really, he's a pretty unique player.
But this is a Karlsson-Burns-Meier-Hertl team now
Just wait for Kevin Labanc to score 25 this year too.
Joe Thornton
6:35
Sharks or retirement?
Gavin Lee
6:35
Sharks.
Bradley
6:35
With some of the recent moves does the Pacific division seem more wide open?
Gavin Lee
6:36
Going to be a dog fight for sure.
Still think the Flames, Knights and Sharks are in the best spots though
Coyotes and Canucks could surprise, and I don't see enough change in Edmonton to put any faith in them.
Changing the coach isn't the problem.
6:37
Ducks would need a breakout from multiple youngsters.
Kings are rebuilding
Dave Tippett
6:37
Word is the Oilers want to acquire a goalie via trade. Who are some realistic targets?
Gavin Lee
6:37
Word from whom? They just acquired a goalie, are they going to try and dump Koskinen's deal somewhere?
Chris
6:38
Who takes their new club further into the playoffs? Bob or the Bread Man?
Gavin Lee
6:38
This year? Gotta bet on Bob.
Over the length of the deal? I'll say Bread.
Brian S
6:39
Could Turris become a more attractive trade target as other options dry up?
Gavin Lee
6:39
Maybe, but the center market is pretty much dry already.
Don't see people jumping to take on $30MM after that season.
And Nashville knows that.

What team got an A in free agency in your opinion Gavin?
Gavin Lee
6:40
I thought I'd have an answer right away for this...
6:41
Carolina maybe? I mean even without taking into account the trades, getting Aho at that number plus bringing back Mrazek on a reasonable deal..
But like that's still hard to give an A to
6:42
Oh, Dallas probably gets my A.
Keeping Pavelski to just 3 years, adding Perry and Sekera on bonus deals
Barry Mc Cockiner
6:43
Well my Jets couldn't afford to do anything.  Is there anymore tinkering to be done or have we resigned ourselves to 5 th place with this bunch.  I know we have our two RFAs and they will get signed but that's not enough
Gavin Lee
6:43
5th place in the Conference, I hope you mean.
The Jets are still an excellent team.
6:44
Their offense is still outstanding.
They're going to add another fourth line forward.

After matching the offer for Seabass (Aho), do the Canes have enough resources to add another big name? I read that the first year of Aho's contract is basically equal to last year's gross at the gate... eesh.
