June, yes, it is not considered external, stand-alone research experience

Ok thank you! One more question; since I’m submitting my resume/CV, should I still list all the work experiences on the “additional information employment” section?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
12:24
Yes, or at least anything that you consider to be relevant to the program/application.

Hello Will, I have applied to the M:IPD course with my GMAT score( exam I gave in Dec 2019). However, I plan on giving another GMAT on 7th Feb to try for an even better score. Is it possible to send that score as well for my application consideration?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
12:25
Akshita, we do not accept test scores for exams taken after the application deadline, so those scores would not be considered. Also, please send an email to admissions1@seas.upenn.edu regarding the fact you are submitting GMAT scores instead of GRE scores for your application.
Akshita
12:27
Oh ok! Thanks Will. I shall share an email at the earliest.

You are welcome, Akshita. Best of luck to you.

Hi Will, back to Systems engineering: Are students able to take mechanical engineering electives?

Hello, will there be any decisions released today for MSE in Robotics?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
12:51
Abhinav, I'm sorry, but I don't think there will be at this point.
Peter

Hi Will! I am in a similar position as Pranoti in terms of GRE scores "needed". Only difference is that I took the GRE yesterday. I have requested the official scores be sent but the time frame will be a bit longer than his. I will also enter my unofficial scores, but I just wanted to check in with you regarding time frame.
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:14
Peter, official GRE scores can take a minimum of a week-10 days just to be processed. It can take longer for them to be sent to us and then matched to your application. However, as I mentioned, we do review applications based on the unofficial scores, so as long as those are on your application, and everything else is submitted correctly and on time, you should be fine.

Be right back, folks.

And I'm back!

I have done B.Tech in electrical engineering but I have done many projects in robotics and embedded program. In which program do I have higher chances of admit MSE in electrical or robotics program.
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:35
Neha, your application is reviewed holistically, meaning that all parts of your application are considered, so I can't tell you that you degree or experience will be the deciding factor. I can say that the EE program has a higher rate of admission over the last few years, and we also do allow applicants to apply to transfer to a different masters program once they've completed at least one semester in good academic standing. I would recommend looking at both programs course requirements to determine the one that you believe best fits your interests: https://www.ese.upenn.edu/masters/electrical-engineering-program/ and here: https://www.grasp.upenn.edu/academics/masters

Are the applications for MSE in embedded active right now
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:36
And no, we are not accepting applications for the Embedded Systems program. We have no plans to do so for the Fall 2020 application cycle, or any other, future cycle.

The date has changed to saturday , FEB 1 in my country. Is the deadline according to this or your time.
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist

The deadline is 11:59PM EST, February 1 - we recognize that this may be a different time/date based on where you live.

I just submitted my application, but the website did not ask for a payment. I want to check that my application has still been received, or ask if I can pay for it?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:37
Stanley, to what program did you apply?
Stanley
1:38
MSE, Materials Science and Engineering.
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:38
Stanley, thank you for that. Please give me a moment.
1:39
What is your name on the application?
neha
1:40
I am willing to apply to EE only, but while writing my SOP, I have more content for robotics programs. Will it be a negative point for EE program if I have projects in robotics.
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:43
Neha, we look at all application and their materials. However, I'd recommend you look at the two course programs to see which appeal more to you and would meet your future expectations and educational goals.
Enya

Hello,

Also can you please tell if I am admitted to one course then weather or not I can switch from EE to ROBO or vice versa. And if yes when can I change it.
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:44
As I mentioned, you are able to apply to transfer to a different masters program if you have completed at least one semester in good academic standing.

Hello Will, I'm applying to MEAM MSE program. I wonder what should I include in my personal statement and how long should it be? Is it better if I include the information of the faculty I want to work with?
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:46
Enya, you can find our recommendations for your personal statement on this web page: https://gradadm.seas.upenn.edu/how-to-apply/. We do recommend including the names of faculty you would like to work with, along with specifics as to why you want to work with them.

Is the financial aid deadline and final deadline for MSE programs different. And for eligibility of financial support, what documents do I need to submit.
AvatarWill Fenton, Enrollment Specialist
1:47
Neha, we don't have a financial aid deadline because we don't offer financial aid to masters students.

Hello Will, should the portfolio be 20 pages including the front page, or does it not
