Yes McCaffrey is really tough to defend. He can run. He can catch. Newton is a threat to run and throw.

Bell was out to reset the RB market but it seems he did the opposite.  How far do you think he set the market back?  If I am a player like Kamara, I am a little upset with him.  What are your thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:45
Total miscalculation on his part and his agent's part. James Conner's success isn't helping Bell at all. In fact, I think it hurts him every week Conner continues to play well. I don't want to say it's all because of the system and the QB in place, but I don't think it's a coincidence that there is next to no drop-off from Bell to Conner.

Steelers will finish 11-4-1. Have a big win at home vs Pats, but once again find a way to lose to the Raiders. What do you think Ray?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:46
That might be a bit optimistic. Did you see the second-half schedule? It's tough.

Ray, what do you attribute red zone success to this year? Play calling or execution or both?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:46
Not as many negative plays. They're taking care of the ball. And as Fichtner said Thursday, the playmakers are making plays. That's what you need.

Hi Ray.  Conner was the NFL Offensive Player of the Month and the Steelers are in 1st place.  Bell should fire his agent.  Any leverage he ever thought he had is gone.  Thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
Bell should have fired his agent after it was leaked that his agent agreed to the contract in the summer of 2017. How do you continue to work with someone after that happens?

Your thoughts on that idiotic play calling just before halftime? Why not take a knee?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
Agree. Idiotic is a good word to describe that sequence.

Do you buy that Edmunds might see less time with Burnett back? Seems to me like he should continue in the role he's been in. Steelers may actually have a safety pairing for years to come.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
Tomlin said today that Burnett will be in the mix to start again once he is healthy. He's played the past two games so I guess that time is coming.

Bell almost has nothing to gain at this point showing up.  He risks showing up a little sluggish and out of shape and could possibly put out some bad film before he hits free agency.  If you are Bell - do you even show up at this point?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
I wouldn't be surprised one way or the other.

Do you think that Josh Hobbs' 22 yard completion could well have been the turning point of the game?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
Yes I do. Big-time play call by Fichtner and execution by Dobbs.

Steelers defense is going to be really tested this week. Cam Newton is playing like he did during his MVP season. How can they slow him down?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
Hit him hard when he's a runner.

Can you explain the Vance McDonald “interception” call? What was that about?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
One of the worst pieces of officiating I've seen in a long time. And that's saying something because the NFL has some terrible calls on a weekly basis.

Hello Ray...I feel Sean Davis is playing very well at Free Safety and the secondary looks much improved. Would you agree? Thank you.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:51
I agree. I think Sean Davis is playing very well right now.

Coty Sensabaugh seems to be a great person outside the football field, now that he is a starter would you write a story about him?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:53
If he continues to play well he'll have plenty of stories written about him.

What’s the status of Ola? And i haven’t heard a lot abt Thomas. Has he gotten a lot of snaps when active?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:53
Ola is still on IR. Hasn't been activated yet. Matthew Thomas is playing some on special teams.

Why did we get flexed out of night game at Jacksonville? Over the Bears?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
It has more to do with Jacksonville and its market than the Steelers though the Steelers are so popular and such a good draw I am a bit surprised it happened

Did Dobbs really call an audible on that play...or is that a joke?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:54
Joke.

Hi Raymond, your MVP on Defense so far this season?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:55
Joe Haden. My dark horse: Mike Hilton. He's not a starter so it's hard to put him in the conversation, but he's so good in his role. He tackles well. He's good in coverage. They like him as a blitzer. He has a lot of versatility.

Is Conner playing his way into MVP consideration??  On the other side of things, is Nathan Peterman making a case as the worst QB in NFL history?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:56
All-Pro conversation. QBs usually win MVPs.
CJR

I'm usually pretty good with "Tomlin-isms" I think it was his own way of saying "We want people that WANT to be here"
Ray Fittipaldo
2:57
I guess so. But there were so many people talking about the quote and how great it was. I was just confused by it.

Is the Raider game on Dec 9 still a possibility to be flexed out of prime time?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:58
I believe so, yes.
