If I didn't get the grades to do my desired course, and the university said it depends on spaces, when would I be informed if I am able to be accepted or not?

Hi @Ailsha - entry requirements may be lower at clearing. This is not always the case, and is dependent on the school you are applying to study at. It is best to check and ring on results day.

@Hamna H It is one of our popular courses, but this does not mean it wont be available through clearing. On the 12th of August at 5pm we will have a list of courses available through clearing. I would recommend you have a look and see if the course is there through clearing.

Hi @Guest, the management and marketing courses and just marketing courses are all competitive. However, we are unable to provide the amount accepted. Please contact Email: lubsugadmissions@leeds.ac.uk

Hello, where can we find the number to call for the Leeds clearing hotline?
AvatarMatthew Elliott

Hi @guest. We cannot confirm whether you would receive an offer if you do not meet your A2L offer. If you do not meet the requirements for the A2L offer, I would recommend ringing on results day to see if you are still eligible for a place on the course

Also if you are a  Access to Leeds student, are the admissions team slightly lenient?

If I have applied and firmed a place at an alternate university, but have changed my mind since can I still apply if the grades at met? Do I decline my offer and then phone through clearing?
Amy Warriner
3:09
Hi @Sara. It entirely depends on the amount of applications received for the course that year and the quality of the rest of your application. If you miss out by one grade, it may be that your place is still offered, but if the course is highly competitive that year your place may be declined. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing until you log into UCAS Track next Thursday morning. There is no evidence to suggest any requirements will be 'harsher' as a result of the current situation. Best wishes, Amy.

How do we contact  Leeds on results day to apply for a place through clearing? I haven’t been able to find a hotline number?
Sarah S
3:08
Hi @Louis. If on results day you are holding a firm unconditional place from Northumbria, but have changed your mind and would like to consider another course or university, you can choose to release yourself into Clearing by using the 'decline your place' button in UCAS Track.  PLEASE BE AWARE, if you use the button and complete the steps, your place will be declined and your contract with Northumbria will be cancelled and you will lose your place – therefore, only use this button if you are completely sure you no longer want your place. I would suggest you contact the School of Geography at Leeds on results day to explain your situation, check if there are places available, and whether you can be made an offer through Clearing with your grades. Hope that helps and good luck!

Hi! I previously applied to do Geography at Northumbria University, but after having a change of heart, I am interested in the Environment and Business BA course at the University of Leeds. Is it possible through clearing to change to this if the grades are met? Thank you!

Hi @guest - it will depend on the availability on the course, and the individual school you are applying for in regards to whether you will receive an offer at clearing. It's best to call them on the day to see if you can get the place on the course still, if you did miss the entry criteria
Chloe

Hi @Sanjana S, If you have accepted a place at Leeds through Clearing you will be able to apply online for accommodation the day after your offer status has been updated on UCAS track. If you can’t do this immediately don’t worry, just try again the next day.
Although we can't guarantee you a place in our accommodation if you’ve applied through Clearing we will try our best to help you. You will hear from us by 10 September with information about the options we can offer.
If we are not able to offer you a place in University accommodation don't worry. Leeds is a student-friendly city with lots of affordable student housing close to the University. Support will be provided to help you to find accommodation in the private sector.
For further information please contact the Accommodation Office on accom@leeds.ac.uk.

I hope this helps!

How flexible is the university on grades. For example if you just miss your offer by one grade.

Hi @guest. You can call at 8am on Thursday 13th to check whether there are places available on the course. It will be down to the school you are applying for whether they will offer you a place if you are below the entry criteria

Hi @awaiz s places available through clearing will be published on our website from 5pm on the 12th of August and you can contact us on the 13th from 8am to discuss clearing  positions

When is clearing available for Uni of Leeds? Is it on 13th of August?
Amy Warriner
3:05
Hi @guest - I understand this is a little confusing! On the website there are two 'sites', one for 2020 start and one fo 2021 start, so it may just be listed separately as there are some slight changes planned for 2021 entry. The management with marketing course is still running for this year so don't worry :) https://courses.leeds.ac.uk/202021/i476/business-management-with-marke...

Is the management with marketing course still running for 2020? I checked the programme catalogue and it said no longer running 20/21. Does this affect what course I will be doing on the day I find out my results?

When will the full list of courses in clearing be available?
Sarah S
3:03
Hi @Guest If you have already made an application through UCAS but didn’t receive any offers (or none you wanted to accept) or you haven’t met the conditions of an offer you are holding, you will automatically be entered into Clearing.

On results day, use your UCAS personal ID to login to your UCAS Track page. You will find your Clearing number on the UCAS Track home page.

You can search our Clearing vacancies which go live on our website on results day. If you find an option you are interested in then you will need to contact that Admissions Team. Make sure you get in touch with the University before adding a Clearing choice in UCAS Track. Once you have a verbal offer that you are happy with, add this to UCAS Track to confirm that you are formally accepting your Clearing offer.

Hello, thank you for your message. Yes this is possible if we have places on the course you are interested in. We would recommend that you contact the university before you make that decision as you would need to decline the current offer.
